It seriously has everything we could possibly want. It has the swivel seats (like on the commercial where they’re playing Jenga), a billion cup holders, power doors and tailgate, heated front and middle seats, SIRIUS radio and we’re having the DVD player installed next week. Love it!

Everyone always asks me: Who does Jonas look like? Gray? Ben? You? Jason?
So, once and for all, let’s do a little comparison.

I’ve always thought he looks like Ben (but with more hair). Although, I guess he’s mostly just Jonas, our little cutie of indeterminate ethinic origin (Asian? Native American? Eskimo? The kid looks like he’s got some random ethinic gene that’s surfacing, right?)

I’ve been trying so hard to get a good picture of Jonas smiling. He’s at the age where if you get close enough to him and he’s in a good mood and you look into his eyes and smile and talk to him he just might smile and laugh back. Unfortunately, this does not work with a camera over your face. So I usually end up holding the camera to the side and trying to get him. Various failed attempts:
“I’m trying to smile, but my enormous cheeks are too heavy….”
“HA, HA, HA! I’m laughing because all you’ve got in focus are my toes!”
“I’ve been trying out my wink for the ladies… what do you think? No? Not hot?”
And last, but not least, the perfect picture… or, you know, half of it, at least:
“Uh, mom, the camera’s shifted a little to the left… Mom?”
I’ll keep trying, I swear.

So, he really wanted to say what’s up, but he was sleeping.

Jonas was trying real hard to stay away and smile for the camera, but it just did not happen. His eyelids were just too heavy to keep open.
November 10th, 2007 — Birthday
So Jim Tolar reached 50 something ;) this week. Since the weather is great, we all decided to pitch in and get him a round of golf for his birthday.
Today we played at ASU Karsten. It felt a little strange for me at first being on ‘the’ ASU course, but being outside playing golf in November, I totally forgot I was in Sparky territory.
It was unanimous that we do a little Best Ball, after some lengthy discussion, we had the teams. JT and JW against Bob and myself. The old vs. the young. It was on.
Bob and I looked pretty good leading by 1 stroke going into the back nine.
But when it was all said and done, the ‘old’ prevailed and won the round by 2. I somehow forgot the final score… Congrats JT and JW, it was a great time.

Here is the Halloween 2007 update.
We had a Ninja (Ben), Duck (Gray), and a Banana (Jonas). We went over to Gary and Laura’s really scary haunted house first, where both Ben and Gray were pretty scared. Elizabeth only got about four steps in and ran back out the entrance. Good times.
The night was capped off over at the Merrill’s where we saw the little hula girls.
