January 22nd, 2008 — The-Boys
Yesterday was one of those difficult kid days. Ben went ice skating with daycare so by the end of the day he was exhausted and whiney. Gray had a late lunch and no nap, so by the end of the day he was wound up and unwilling to listen to parental authority. I think that Jonas must be getting teeth, because he’s been cranky and not sleeping well for days.
So of course, on a day like that, I had a listing presentation with a new client scheduled in the evening. Which left poor Jason to deal with the three monsters AND dinner all by himself. But, being the creative problem solver that he is, Jason made it work. I came home to the big kids eating rice and grilled chicken and Jason wearing a sleeping Jonas in a sling he fashioned out of a bedsheet:

Hee! Mr. Mom would be proud, don’t you think?

I wish I had Jason’s facebook login info, because if I did, right now I would put in “Jason is happily snoring in the rocking chair with Jonas.”

I don’t know how he doesn’t wake up the baby with all that racket!

Everyone always asks me: Who does Jonas look like? Gray? Ben? You? Jason?
So, once and for all, let’s do a little comparison.
Ben

Gray

Jonas

And just for giggles, here’s me (I’m a bit older, obviously, but it was the only one I had):

And Jason (with twin sister, Jen)

I’ve always thought he looks like Ben (but with more hair). Although, I guess he’s mostly just Jonas, our little cutie of indeterminate ethinic origin (Asian? Native American? Eskimo? The kid looks like he’s got some random ethinic gene that’s surfacing, right?)

March 7th, 2007 — Birthday
Okay, I was hoping that I would not have to say this for a little while longer, but I am now 30. WOW. Not sure what else to say, I cannot put a 2 in front of my age anymore. I don’t feel any different, and still have plenty of hair. So when that starts to go, I will really be worried.
I was not the only one that just turned 30. I share the day with my sister Jen, check out what she had to say: A big one. And thankfully, there was a sucker that just beat us out. Mr. Dave Bell. Jen threw an great party for him up in Portland, losts of good friends, and good wine.
So, that brings me to my awesome wife. She decided to throw me a great party. She worked in a little James Bond theme, and lots of people dressed up for it. All the major players were there, friends, family, and a ninja from work. Check out all of these people having a great time:

Elizabeth and myself, I am not one for dressing up, so I went with the usual.

Great food.

The Rocky Point Crew.
There are a few more photos at flickr, check them out. Oh, I almost forgot, Kelli also posted some sweet photos, check them out: Shaken, Not Stirred.
It was a great time, thanks to Elizabeth for hosting/planning the event, and thanks to all that came.
